February 18, 2025, was an exhilarating day as our school hosted the 2nd Qualifier Stage of the Junior and Senior Mathalon.
The competition brought together some of our brightest young minds, all eager to test their problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and quick thinking under pressure.
From the moment the contest began, the room was filled with an air of excitement and determination. Each round pushed students to their limits, challenging them with complex equations, tricky puzzles, and rapid-fire mental math questions. It wasn’t just about numbers—it was about strategy, perseverance, and the ability to think on your feet.
For the Juniors, the focus was on sharpening their fundamental skills and applying creative problem-solving techniques, while the Seniors faced more advanced mathematical concepts that truly put their analytical thinking to the test. The energy in the room was contagious as students competed with enthusiasm, striving to secure their place in the next stage of the Mathalon.
But beyond the competition, today was also about celebrating/ instilling the love for mathematics. Watching students collaborate, learn from each other, and rise to the challenge was truly inspiring. Whether they move on to the next round or not, every participant gained something valuable—be it confidence, new strategies, or simply the joy of tackling a tough problem.
